My muli-purpose oven

My first foray into using my washing machine seems to have worked out okay. No dryer or drying rack though, so my clothes were hung up all over my place.

I improved some ramen tonight with some sauteed beef and greens. Delish.

  1. I thought from the looks of that washing machine that it was a combo washer/dryer. Are you sure that it's not?

  2. There are combo washer dryers? I got to get a Korean in the place to figure it out.

  3. My sister has one at her condo.
Also, I listened to the Dahlcast to hear your email read. Too bad he called you Will Duh-raan.

  4. I'd be willing to bet that it's a combo. That's why there are two totally separate sets of controls. You only chose one it sounds like.

  5. Did you add a little sock squeezins to that ramen?

  6. A good ramen recipe: Cook the noodles add the spices, drain then fry with an egg and anything else you want. It is like a noodle stir fry. Yummy!

  7. Your washing machine is not a combo. If you want i can tell you what all the buttons mean. but basically its all temperature, fabric and time settings.
Also, have you figured out the floor heat? the 'ondul'? I lived in a 'love motel' for about a month one time over there and i didnt have a drying rack. Wash yer clothes. mop a space on the floor, spread a single layer of clothes on the ground and let the magic begin. your clothes will be dry in a couple hours, and your house gets some humidity. cause that is a dry ass country in the winter.

  8. I recall hanging my laundry to dry on a chandelier in my dorm room in Russia. When I lived with a host family, they insisted on doing my wash and hung my socks on a line over the kitchen table. Appetizing!

    I'm enjoying the blog.
